NGO Registration
Why Register?
All NGOs who wish to participate, raise and receive funds during the event will need to register with United Way of Mumbai.
- The Charity Registration is a simple , standardized accreditation process for a NGO which seeks to participate in the SCMM
- It serves the role of assurance to a donor that the NGO and the cause s/he is giving towards is credible & that his/her monies will be well spent.
- It is a means through which the Official Charity Partner can maintain neutrality and level playing field amongst all participating NGOs
- UWM takes the responsibility to issue 80 G certificates to all donors for donations above the value of Rs 100/-
NGOS who wish to participate in the SCMM and/or raise funds need to register with UWM. The earlier an organization registers the better the chances of connecting with prospective donors.
To register, NGO will have to fill up the NGO registration form along with all required documents, along with a cheque for Rs 2500 in favour of ‘United Way of Mumbai’. UWM puts up the list of registered NGOs on its website and creates an online donation page for the NGO with linkage to supporters and corporate pages There will be also be a link to this list from the official event website (www.procamrunning.in). This will help build awareness for participating NGOs. We are also in the process of developing a new website with better features and functionality. The new website will replace this existing site by end of July. NGO online giving pages will be in the new website.
