United Way Mumbai Helpline has been awarded special recognition

United Way Mumbai Helpline (UWMH) has been honoured with the Special Recognition award for its 'Continuity and Recovery Initiatives in the Public Interest', at the prestigious BCI Continuity and Resilience Awards 2011. These awards have been instituted by The Business Continuity Institute, UK (BCI) in association with KPMG in India. This is the third year that BCI has organized this pioneering event in India for recognizing Business Continuity Management (BCM) Professionals , and those working towards building a resilient India, and the second year in running that United Way Mumbai Helpline has received an award from BCI and KPMG.
It was the unique initiatives of UWMH such as Disaster Response and Management Trainings for city stakeholders, Hospital Emergency Disaster Preparedness Training, citywide campaigns on environmental issues such as cleanliness and greenery, which ensured UWMH won the award. We at United Way Mumbai Helpline would like to express our sincere gratitude to all our supporters, partners, volunteers and donors for the support and encouragement extended to us in our efforts towards making Mumbai City cleaner, safer and a better place to live in !
