Due Diligence - From Which Perspective ?

There are several ways of looking at ‘Due Diligence’. The standard financial way would be to look at the Income of the organization and try and assess its impact. ISC supports 530 children and had an Income of Rs. 100, 41,206/- for the Year 2004. This makes the overall cost per child fairly high.

Building Sustainable Foundations For the Future

Is this fair, high or perhaps a bit uneconomical?  This is what United Way is endeavoring to ascertain. And its not easy.  To get to know a 35 year old organization operating projects across three cities involving 530 children is like walking on a razor's edge.  From a financial perspective, the strategy and way ahead may appear clear,  but from the NGO perspective the strategy from a financial perspective may seem unfeasible for several reasons, and the moment you get into evaluating impact on young lives sometime its just not possible to put a value on the work being done.

We think ISC is doing great work with these 530 children.  The United Way role is to help ISC to build a professional team and create the necessary modern internal systems to help run an efficient modern welfare organization.  Our goal is to enable ISC by helping it create for itself- a roadmap to a more sustainable future. However without your support, we cannot do this. So, we invite you to join us in helping bring smiles to more of these children's faces! Click on the pledge button and support ISC now and become a part of this process of helping build a sustainable future for these children.
