PASSAGES – an Association for Guidance, Education & Support, founded in July 1998, is a voluntary, non-profit NGO, conceptualized by a core group of women. Its objective is to prepare and strengthen women by education, guidance and support through the various ‘passages’ of their lives. Since 2001, the focus shifted to the growing need for awareness about Breast Cancer. Continuing support through medicine supply for Cancer patients, our organization has been procuring chemotherapy tablets for distribution amongst patients at the Cama and Albless Hospital, Fort. These under privileged patients are identified by the treating doctors,and under their supervision are given chemotherapeutic medicines. Our volunteers record the progress of each patient under our “illness to wellness”Scheme. Our on-going ‘MEDICINE BANK project endeavors of distribution of chemotherapy tablets to post surgery patients which demands financial resources on a monthly basis. The Organisation creates awareness on issues concerning women through interactive Workshops and Forums designed to give insightful information. These are conducted regularly and facilitated by professionals from the respective field. Please note, 100% of all donations will go directly to PASSAGES. All donations will be exempt under Sec 80(G) (for donations made in India) and United Way of Mumbai will issue receipts for the same.
