In my opinion ,marathons bring out the best of human spirit and the qualities like dedication,discipline, perseverance,endurance,strength,stamina and fitness.It also promotes healthy competition. Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon has been achieving this over the years with a commendable efforts in organizing this annual event. Its success can be seen from the growing participation it has attracted from people of all walks of life,age-groups,all sections of society,giving flexibility to perform to one's capacity.In the process it has been meeting its social responsibility by contributing to some worthy causes of the needy elements of the society. Light of Life Trust (LOLT)has been striving over a decade to uplift the rural underprivileged communities in Maharashtra through educating children, providing skill training for employment of women and youth,and providing heath care services in the rural area. We and our beneficiaries have regularly participated in this event. As a keen sports enthusiast,I am looking forward to participating in this Marathon as my token contribution to support the initiatives championed by LOLT. My best wishes to a successful conclusion of SCMM 2016.
