Helen Keller Institute of Deaf and Deafblind had been Pioneer institute for the education, training and rehabilitation of the Deaf and Deafblind in India as well as the South East Asia region. It has Schools at Byculla and at Navi Mumbai for deaf and deafblind kids. HKIDB is also recognised by Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) to conduct a two years diploma course for training persons in educating and understanding Persons with Disabilities (PwD). I have been associated with HKIDB for 5 years now and have closely seen their selfless work in the field. As I run the SCMM 2017, raising funds to support education for deaf and deaf blind kids.
