An aim to reach out to as many children in the rural pockets of India has started the wave in the South of the country with Isha Vidhya. While education for all is much talked about, often undermined is the quality or sustainability of the same. Currently reaching out to 9 rural schools and more than 6000 children in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, with 60% and more being supported by donations under a scholarship program and the rest paying a nominal fee, Isha Vidhya has always been doing its bit. With an aim of offering quality education which is computer aided, in an English medium, equal importance has been given to encourage the learning of indigenous art forms, sports, yoga,life-skills, nature friendly living and free noon meals fortified by micro nutrients. The little bit being done is a drop in the ocean, nevertheless it is with this earnest wish that that no rural youth should be stuck in situations not knowing what to do with their lives.
