Dear Donor, I am reaching out to you to seek your support for Isha Vidhya - a rural education initiative of Isha Foundation (www.ishavidhya.org), with which i am associated as a volunteer. Isha Vidhya, a not for profit initiative, works for the economic and social empowerment of rural children in the villages across southern state of Tamil Nadu, India. I am running the Dream Run in support of Isha Vidhya on Sunday, 17th Jan 2016 in the Standard Charted Mumbai Marathon and reaching out to you to raise funds for this cause. In 2015, 400 volunteers of Isha participated in the Mumbai marathon and raised INR 12,095,992. This amount was used to support scholarships of 288 children and construction of compound walls across 8 Isha Vidhya schools. In 2015-16 could be a landmark year as we are hoping to complete critical infrastructure including classrooms, school buses, computers and sports equipment. Isha Vidhya schools are run largely by volunteers and hence cost of fund raising is very low (<2%). Every rupee you donate will be put to effective use.
