Most of the young adults at Shraddha Charitable Trust are born with autism, a disorder of the brain that causes life-long development disability affecting communication and social skills,and so they are often assumed to lead a dependent life. At Shraddha, they are trained to master simple skills which give them the thrill of creating and boost their confidence. Most important of all, they are remunerated for their work. Along with this they follow an intensive therapeutic routine that helps them focus and improve concentration and retention. They are also kept entertained with regular picnics and parties. Ever since I have been eligible to participate in the dream run, I have been running for the Shraddha Charitable Trust team. Once on visiting the NGO, when I was much younger, I engaged myself with them ,over a game of cricket and my interaction with them left a lasting impression on me.I was also very impressed that they remembered me for a long time to come after that. Shraddha has a vision to build their own space as they now look to expand their horizon. They plan on housing these children as many of their parents have expressed their concern regarding the welfare of their children when they wont be around to care for them any longer. I want to contribute to their mission in my little capacity, but then this is only a start. I request you to please come forward and contribute to this noble cause.
