Karunya means nothing but mercy and this is all about being being merciful. Karunya trust aims at providing a 'safety net to poor', particularly disadvantaged children and women. The main areas of focus for this trust is Education, Livelihood, and Health and Environment issues. I am starting this page to raise fund for Karunya trust more importantly "Gyaansathi" a school which provides education to rag picking children in Govandi. It is rightly said that you help somebody with food or money, you can only help him for that period of time, but if you provide a person with education/ skill you help him for lifetime. This is what Karunya trust is trying to achieve in the long run. The kids live right inside the largest dumping grounds of Mumbai and education is their only way out of their troubled lives.
