My training, over the years, prepared me for participation in Special Olympic, an international sporting event. It was held in Los Angeles, USA. I had an experience of a lifetime and came home with a gold medal for softball! I was received in Mumbai and at school with lots of warmth and love. I have run the SCMM 2013 and wish to run again; but this time, for my best friend and sports companion Miraj Shaikh. Miraj is immensely talented in sports too. He has borderline mental retardation and suffers from complete loss of hearing in his right ear. Yet, his perseverance and love for sports have earned him 27 Gold Medals at National and State-level contests. Through my run, I want to raise funds for his training. It is my dream to see my best friend participate internationally in Special Olympic, like myself. Will you help me make my dream come true?
