Isha Vidhya has been doing a fantastic job of bringing quality education to rural India. I'm touched by the level of commitment they have towards this. In the current year, Isha Vidhya requires to build 11 classrooms, provide for 19 school buses, computers & sports equipment, scholarships and support the 56 Government schools that have been adopted. In addition to the above, approximately 700 new children get admitted every year who require scholarships over and above the existing children. These schools are run largely by volunteers and hence cost of fund raising is very low (<2%). Every rupee you donate will be used towards educating many children, and that's worth a lot. Any amount, big or small will enable a kid. But here are a few donation options indicated - (a) Full scholarship per child per year (includes tuition fees, books, school uniform, transport and noon meal) – INR 20,000 per child per year (b) Sponsor a child’s tuition fee and books for one year – INR 10,000 per child per year (c) Sponsor transport subsidy for a child for one year – INR 5,250 per child per year (d) Sponsor noon meal subsidy - INR 3,000 per child per year (e) Any other amount – will be used for infrastructure expansion – such as classrooms, toilets, labs etc. Thank you!
