In Jan 2016, over 400 runners participated in the Mumbai Marathon for the 8th consecutive year to make a difference in the lives of Isha Vidhya children. There were 260 Isha volunteers and 190 employees from 8 companies participated in the run and raised INR 1.44 crore for Isha Vidhya. This amount was used to support education of 630 children and construction of compound wall across 8 Isha Vidhya schools. Funds raised thru the year 2017 will be utilized for Scholarships for the students in Isha Vidhya schools, Classroom and Infrastructure in Isha Vidhya schools, Learning Aids, Computers, laptops, tablets, LCD projectors, School buses in Isha Vidhya schools and Govt. school adoption program in TN. Isha Vidhya schools are run largely by volunteers and hence cost of fund raising is very low (<2%). Every rupee you donate will be put to effective use.
