India is facing its worst education inequity ever. While people like you and me had the privilege of studying in good schools / institutions, and can also aspire for the same for our kids; there are millions of children in India who do not get access to quality education. Teach For India (TFI) is a nationwide movement of outstanding college graduates and young professionals (called fellows) who commit two years to teach full-time in under resourced schools and who will become lifelong leaders working with various sectors towards the pursuit of equity in education. TFI envisions a future where one day each one of these children will have an opportunity to attain an excellent education. My association with TFI is through my wife, Swati, who has been actively involved with the mission for last one year. Having heard so many inspiring and life transforming success stories from her, I am sure that TFI will succeed in its mission through their deep values and clear focus.
