MBA Foundation is an NGO which works for the rehabilitation, livelihood and self-esteem of people with disabilities (PWDs) or differently abled people. The NGO has been running rehabilitation centers for the last 12 years, providing various therapies, training, fruitful occupation and Life Care with residential facilities for adults with special needs. The Foundation caters to people with different types & levels of needs such as Cerebral Palsy, hearing/ speech impairment, visual impairment, orthopedic impairment, intellectual impairment, ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), Down’s syndrome, multiple disabilities, Autism and other disabilities, who can benefit through rehabilitation activities I learned that that the aim of the Foundation was not merely to seek donations but make these special people live a life of dignity through gainful self-employment. Towards this end, the NGO imparts training to the differently abled inmates in manufacturing of various products such as jute bags, items & gives them stipends for the work done. The foundation is currently raising last mile funds for completion of a rehabilitation center at Navi Mumbai - a noble cause which I am supporting.
