Tata Mumbai Marathon 2024
Project Nanhi Kali was initiated in 1996 by the K. C. Mahindra Education Trust (KCMET) with the aim of providing primary education to underprivileged girl children in India.
Anand Mahindra, the current chairman of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., founded Project Nanhi Kali. with a strong belief that educated women would not only contribute to the economy but also issues of population and social evils like the dowry system and child marriage would reduce as more women are educated.
About Me
I have been running Marathons for the last 3-4 years. Running has a potential to change you physically and mentally. However running marathons takes on a whole new meaning when it is doubled with generating funds for Charity. The Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon (SCMM) has been closely associated with multiple NGOs. It gives every runner an opportunity to raise funds for a NGO of choice.
I have decided to take this chance to raise funds for an NGO called Nanhi Kali. I have been associated with this NGO in the past as well. Being an employee also of the Mahindra Group has given me a chance to have a closer understanding of this NGO.
