A very important aspect of the marathon is to help in raising pledges for a cause. This year I will be running to raise pledges for: 1. SOPAN (Society of Parents of Children with Autistic Disorders) – India is home to about 10 million people with autism and the disability has shown an increase over the last few years. NGOs like SOPAN are working towards making life more pleasant and meaningful for the children who are diagnosed with Autism. 2. Kotak Education Foundation – The NGO was started by Mr. Sivaji Dam and is striving towards providing education to the economically backward sections of society (particularly those staying in the ‘M’ Ward) in Mumbai so that they are able to make a mark in society. The work that is being done by these two NGOs for the betterment of society is commendable and would get a shot in the arm with help from people like you and me. I would therefore request you to donate towards the causes and help me raise funds for the NGOs. How much is not important. Any amount will do. I value your support to the causes I have chosen.
