The objective of Isha Vidhya schools is to make quality education accessible & affordable to the rural poor, currently runs 9 schools in Tamil Nadu & Andhra Pradesh. The schools presently have 5820 children, with approximately 3080 (58%) students on free education supported by donations under a scholarship program, while the rest pay a nominal fee. Based on the experience gained and the success in the Isha Vidhya schools, Isha Vidhya began to carry out critical interventions to improve the quality of education in rural Government schools. Currently 40 Government schools have been adopted under the Government School Adoption Program. With the support of generous donors like you, I have been able to touch the lives of a few little children who were otherwise deprived of that one chance at decent living. And in doing so, I have found the purpose of this small yet winding journey called life.
