JP Morgan Chase corporate partner of United Way Mumbai organized an internal career fair for their 1800 employee workforce on the 21st & 29th June 2004 at Andheri & Malad office respectively. The JP Morgan Care Committee incharge of the social responsibility programs evinced an interest to put up a NGO stall during the career fair.
JP Morgan committee began the search for an appropriate NGO early this year and seeked United Way Mumbai's support for the same. With the recommendation of United Way and after a careful study, JP Morgan Committee selected Women India Trust (WIT) to display its products at the career fair.
Women India Trust stall was the most visited and re visited stall by the employees. Employees flocked the stall to buy jams, marmalades, bags, soft toys, finger puppets, coasters, aprons, sandwich covers etc. Women India Trust recorded a good sale of Rs.14000/- over 2 days.
