Impact
Livelihood program:
This program changed the lives of thousands of farmers across India by providing inputs in three key areas namely, agriculture, health and overall village development. The unique aspect of the project is the concept of kitchen gardens introduced to the villagers to encourage them to include vegetables into their daily diet.

Positive impact of the program:

Mrs. Valu Ben Rajput age 35 of Gujarat could never afford vegetables so would only include the same occasionally in her meals. Post the intervention she was able to cultivate a garden in her backyard where she grew vegetables such as brinjal, lady finger spinach and so on. She now includes all these vegetables in her meals and more importantly understands the importance of a balanced nutritious diet. Valu Ben now promotes the concept to the other villagers, explaining to them the importance of taking care of ones nutritional needs. Health is wealth and a gateway to a healthy village.

Shelter for girls:
Shelter was set up for girl's who were rescued from child labour, run away children and those who could not be taken care of by their parents

Clean Neighbourhood Campaign:
Clean up activity undertaken and dustbins installed in 5 cities across India

Non formal education classes in Alwar:

There are 2 NFE centers running in Alwar providing education to hundreds of girls who are for various reasons unable to go to school. Once the children enroll in these learning centers their parents are convinced to send their girls to school. Thus one of the most important components of the project is mainstreaming these children into formal government schools.
