Awareness & Communication Campaign
The essence of CHILDLINE services is knowledge and awareness of the number 1098. United Way Mumbai in 2003 gave a grant of Rs.5 lakh to CHILDLINE for communication and direct mail campaign.
CHILDLINE with the help of the grant amount initiated activities in the area of communication for creating awareness and fund raising. CHILDLINE made use of various medium/vehicle to reach out to people, listed below :

Direct Mail : CHILDLINE created an appropriate letter and Business Reply Envelope for the campaign. The campaign started with a test phase in Delhi to 2500 corporate's addressed to the CEO's and CFO's. Subsequently on a national level 40,000 Direct mails were sent to corporate's and individuals. The campaign evoked tremendous response in few cases receiving donations on the basis of Direct Mails itself. The responses are still coming in and CHILDLINE is currently in the process of tabulating the same.

Audio Visual : CHILDLINE prepared its first film/audio visual of 10 minutes to be used for fundraising tool and awareness generation. Kabir Bedi has anchored the film.

Donation Boxes : 20 small Donation Boxes were fabricated and installed at various locations. 2 Big Donation Boxes were installed at Sahar Airport. Mrs Rajashree Birla, wife of industrialist Aditya Birla inaugurated CHILDLINE donation box at the Sahar International Airport.
