 | (Executive Director) Jayanti Shukla joined United Way of Mumbai in October 2008. Jayanti began her career with the New India Assurance Co. Ltd, a multinational insurance company, and was Regional Manager at the company's Delhi Regional Office. She then moved to the private sector, joining IL&FS Investsmart as Vice President for corporate and insurer relations. After over 25 years in the corporate sector, a move to the not for profit sector beckoned. Jayanti works with various social organizations in her spare time and has been actively involved with a number of civic and social causes. She is the founder trustee of the Celebrate Bandra Trust which organizes the hugely popular Celebrate Bandra Festival, a biennial feature which showcases the culture and heritage of the suburb. She is also the founder trustee of BRAVO, a trust involved in a number of civic and locality based issues including implementation of projects like Rain water harvesting and Solid waste management. George joined United way Mumbai In April 2011. He has a management degree from SIBM, Pune and has previously worked in sales and marketing positions in India and supply chain operations internationally. For the past 4 years prior to joining UWM he was based in Africa handling among other functions, CSR initiatives, forming strategic alliances with international donors, government agencies, key stakeholders, and forming self-help groups among agri communities which led to a strong interest and inclination towards sustainable community development initiatives and organizations supporting the development of social enterprises He currently handles special projects, Mumbai marathon and IT. |  | Neha Thakur (Program Executive - Mumbai Marathon) Neha Thakur joined United Way of Mumbai in September 2010. She has done her MCA from Bansal Institute of Science & Technology, Bhopal. Prior to joining UWM, she worked in the Insurance sector for one year. She currently handles the online giving page (Mumbai Marathon) and provides technical support. She enjoys dealing with IT related issues and her aim is to make NGO's more friendly with IT. neha@unitedwaymumbai.org |  | Shraddha Durgavale (Program Executive - Mumbai Marathon) Shraddha graduated from R.A Podar College of Commerce of Economics (Matunga), Mumbai. Prior to joining UWM, Shraddha worked as an operational executive in the private sector. She joined UWM in October 2010 as a project executive. As a part of the Marathon team, she works with corporate, helping them raise funds using the marathon as a platform. Her responsibilities include facilitating pledge raising efforts of companies, communicating the charity structure and working on all aspects of charity like registrations, race day logistics, communications & receiving donations.  | (Program Director - United Way Mumbai Helpline, Program Director- United Way India Helpline) Ajay joined United Way in June 2007. He has completed his Masters in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Services, Mumbai after graduating from College of Social Work- Nirmala Niketan. He has specialized in Urban and Rural Community Development. His key areas of interest are Disaster Preparedness and Governance. Ajay heads United Way-Mumbai Helpline, which is a special initiative of United Way of Mumbai for community-based disaster preparedness and improvement in state of civic issues of Mumbai city.This project also includes special initiatives as Third Party Auditor of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation's Clean-Up Mumbai Campaign. In addition to his responsibilities here, he has also been designated Program Director for United Way India Helpline, which is a new initiative spearheaded by United Way India at the national level. ajay@mumbaihelpline.org |

He has completed his Masters in Social Work from College of Social Work, Nirmala Niketan, Mumbai and is currently pursuing MBA in Social Entrepreneurship from NMIMS, Mumbai. He heads the operations of United Way Mumbai Helpline and also works for public-private partnerships for better disaster preparedness and improvement in the state of civic issues. He has gained valuable experience from grass root rural development organizations. His keen interest is working on Good Governance and developmental issues. Anil has interest in outdoor games and has been a state level Football player for state of Gujarat. anil@unitedwaymumbai.org  | Ashwini Bhilare (Program Executive - United Way Mumbai Helpline) Ashwini began her career at United Way of Mumbai in June 2010 after her post graduation in Social Work from College of Social Work, Nirmala Niketan. She graduated with a degree in social work from Yashwantrao Chavan Institute of Social Sciences, Satara and has experience working with children, rural and tribal communities. Projects that she has worked on include networking with stakeholders of G-North Municipal Ward and organizing Disaster management and Clean-Up activities under the Corporate Ward Adoption Program. She is working as a Program Executive with United Way Mumbai Helpline team and manages the K-East Ward under the Corporate Ward Adoption Program. Sukhada has done her Masters in Social work from SNDT Women's University, Mumbai. She graduated from Ruparel College, Mumbai University. University, Mumbai after graduating from Nirmala Niketan College of Home Science. She began her career in July 2009 with Harmony for Silvers Foundation as social worker. Shilpa joined United Way of Mumbai in December 2010. She is working with United Way Mumbai Helpline and looks after the Corporate Ward Adoption Program - A Ward. He joined United Way Mumbai Helpline team in 2009. He handles the activities of K-west ward under Corporate Ward Adoption Program.  | (Program Manager - Payroll and Corporate Giving Department) Karina became a part of the United Way network in 2008 after completing her Masters program in social Work from Nirmala Niketan, Mumbai, India. Prior to her Masters, she spent a year volunteering with 3 NGOs working in the slums of Kolkata, tutoring children, encouraging women to become independent by forming self help groups and also conducting leadership development sessions for teenagers. United Way of Mumbai has allowed her to go beyond working directly in the field to raising funds for a variety of causes across India. She has been conducting 'workplace giving' campaigns and managing corporate relationships for over three years; her inputs are highly valued in strategizing campaigns & developing fund raising programs for various corporate. She has also created volunteering programs for individuals and groups interested in investing their time to help others. Conducting due diligence of NGOs, visiting projects, studying their growth, assessing its success, designing, monitoring and evaluating various urban and rural projects in the areas of education, income and health is her forte. karina@unitedwaymumbai.org  | Siddhartha Iyer (Sr. Program Executive -Corporate & Payroll Giving) Siddhartha, having graduated in Psychology from Wilson College, Mumbai has also completed his Masters in Social Work from the College of Social Work, Nirmala Niketan. He is a Post-graduate diploma holder in Event Management from the National Institute of Management, Mumbai. He has been working with the Corporate and Payroll Giving Team since the past 2 years and has played a major role in planning & implementing campaigns for major corporates. He also handles NGO Partnerships and Donation Management Systems for UWM. She is a Post-graduate diploma holder in Human Resource Management from the M.S. University, Baroda. Krutika joined the UWM Corporate and Payroll Giving team in June 2011 and has been actively involved in the coordination of various campaigns and resource mobilization for NGOs. Her interests include reading, listening to music and traveling. krutika@unitedwaymumbai.org |  | Tanya Christie Soares (Program Executive - Corporate & Payroll Giving) Tanya received a Masters in Social Work from the College of Social Work Nirmala Niketan. She also has a diploma in psychosocial care and support in disaster management and worked with victims of the 26/11 terror attack. She joined the UWM Payroll and Corporate Giving team in June 2011 and is responsible for co-coordinating and organizing days of caring events, conducting due diligence for NGOs, and building new corporate partnerships. She is learning a lot at UWM and enjoying her experience.  | (Program Director Finance) Aziz has an MBA in Finance and 17 years of work experience in various industries, including seven years experience in the NGO sector. He joined UWM in February 2011 and handles the financial aspect which includes statutory compliances (Trust, FCRA, society, Income tax) requirements, putting in place internal controls, standardizing the processes for various departments and so on. aziz.bhanvadia@unitedwaymumbai.org  | Poonam Wadke (Accounts Manager) Punam graduated from Mumbai University. She also studied GIC and GDCA. Punam has worked in the accounts department for over fifteen years. She joined UWM in October 2009 as the accounts manager.
