Organizational Overview

SIPRA is a grassroots NGO based in Nanded Block of Maharashtra. It works with children, farmers and women's group on a variety of community based programs.

Child Rights Initiative in Himayatnagar and Kinwat blocks.
  • Build Mass Movement on Right to Work
  • Build Mass Movement demanding new PHC/Sub Centers, activation of currently existing Sub Centers
  • Campaign on leadership development in Panchayat/local self government.

Case Study
Sanjanabai

Sanjanabai is the president of Jai Sevalal Mahila Batchat Gat in Koka Tanda. She had some interest in sewing work before her marriage but didn't have the skill to be actively engaged in it. After marriage, she recognized that the entire village does not have any ladies' tailor.

SIPRA has established Self-Help-Group under PACS project in Koka tanda /village. Under the guidance of SIPRA's social worker she has undergone different training sessions and guidance & vocational training skills. She has grown in her capability.
