Field Visits, an opportunity to volunteer for the NGO of the month was initiated from June 2006. The aim of this activity is to facilitate interaction and bring about a sense of belongingness between Mastekeers and the underprivileged.
On the 21st of June, 11 Mastekeers dotted the campus of the Helen Keller Institute of Deaf & Deaf Blind at Mahape.
As a part of their Field Visit Day, the Mastekeers got exposure to the functioning of an Institute that caters to the needs and requirements of the “differently abled”. Besides visiting the classroom, computer centre, vocational therapy room, occupational therapy centre; the volunteers also got the opportunity to interact with the children at close quarters.
“An excellent institution, doing outstanding work. An example for all to follow.”
