Katha is an NGO committed to enhance the joy of reading and the love of books in order to:
- Stimulate an interest in lifelong learning and creativity, critical thinking and problem solving that will help the child grow into a confident, self-reliant, responsible and responsive adult.
- Help break down gender, cultural and social stereotypes.
- Encourage, foster excellence, and applaud quality literature and translations in and between the various Indian languages
- Forge cross-cultural connections through stories, storytelling and story in education.
