IIMPACT is working with 17 villages with a population of 16,469

At Alwar 640 girls have been attending the IIMPACT Learning Centers. The strategy adopted in this initiative has been to interlink the education programme with the micro-finance programme. This integrated approach has been set up by making the women responsible for setting up the Learning Centers in their respective villages.

The project objective is to scale up operations to 2000 IIMPACT Learning Centers to bring girls not enrolled in school between the age group of 6-14 years under the fold of primary education within a period of 5 years. The project aims to achieve this through the following:

• Increasing access and enrolment to basic primary education for all girl children out of school through community mobilization.
• Providing high quality relevant education (five years primary education up to class V) to non-school-going girls through IIMPACT Learning Centers.

Note: To keep overheads low, IIMPACT uses part-time services of the permanent staff of Tex Corp Ltd., a company in which the President of IIMPACT has substantial interest.

Pariban passed the annual class V Rajasthan Government examination with 92.29%.

Her favorite subject is Mathematics and her desire to speak English is evident. Excitedly, she speaks simple sentences in English and then translates them into Hindi to make sure those around her understand her. She is determined to pursue her studies further, and has enrolled for studies to the VIth standard at the Government School.
