Helen Keller Institute has set up since 1977, in Mumbai that takes care of 25 deaf blind and 64 deaf annually. It is the first of its kind well equipped institute for educational, therapeutic rehabilitation of children and adolescents with multiple disabilities such as – Deafblindness, etc.

| Education |
- A graded Functional/ Academic Curriculum leading to Pre-Vocational Training and Vocational Rehabilitation.
- Literacy: Learning to read and write Braille; arithmetic; and communicate through gestures, a tactile sign-language, and finger-printing in the hand.
- Mobility: Includes body awareness; acquiring self-help skills; exploring the environment; working independently in familiar areas; using a stick, guided by the teacher, in parks roads market areas.

- Vocational Rehabilitation at present includes making:
Office Envelops, Candles, Liquid Soap, Jewellery (necklace, earrings, bracelets) with artificial beads & semi-precious stones
