Save The Children India is a non-profit organization established by the late Mrs. Vipula Kadri in 1988 to support and empower underprivileged women and children. Till date, Save The Children India has reached out to over 200,000 beneficiaries in the areas of education, health, anti-human trafficking, and vocational training.
When I joined this award-winning organization as a Board Member, I was completely bowled over by the immense goodwill that Mrs Vipula Kadri had created. P.R.I.D.E India was born 31 years ago which envisions a society based on equal opportunities and human rights. Through innovative initiatives and an impactful approach, P.R.I.D.E India upholds its integrity and strives to facilitate the process of empowering the marginalized communities to lead a life with dignity and self respect. While I have come across multiple organizations who are focusing on the upliftment of Rural India, P.R.I.D.E India is unique in that they are using a child centric approach they also focus on education, livelihood support, clean drinking water, agricultural assistance and health care for the family. This in my eye makes the approach much more sustainable and gives the chance of successfully improving the child's life as the family does not pull the child away from getting educated due to financial pressures and concerns.
