Forum For Autism

I run in the Mumbai Standard Chartered Marathon every year to show my care and support towards the cause of increasing awareness on Autism. I am doing my bit in raising funds for the Forum for Autism that helps in creating awareness and also actively participates in helping parents of children affected with this disorder. The Forum for Autism, a registered charitable trust, is the parent support group, helps out parents of the autistic children in our society. I run the marathon year after year because this provides me with a platform to spread awareness about Autism which in turn can help make a difference to the lives of the underprivileged.

Appeal

The biggest motivation for me would be the sentiment of 'giving and sharing'. When we first ran for the cause the initial response was warm and this warmth has goaded us on, year after year. There is expectancy all around and that is heartening enough. It is not that the goal is always achieved but the efforts are unrelenting. As for choosing the cause, it has to be something that you feel very strongly for. by fills an ocean and whatever we give is a small contribution.
